Daria's Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff Recipe
Long, slow cooking (7 to 8 hours) renders top round steak tender enough to use in place of the cuts that are normally required for Beef Stroganoff.
I've tried quite a few Stroganoff recipes in my day and this one is right up there! Beef Stroganoff is one of my favs, so I'm always looking for the best. This recipe is really, really great!!
Wonderful stroganoff!! The family loved it. The only change we made in the recipe was we used 2&1/2 pounds of top round steak instead of only 1&1/2 pounds.
I use a frozen round steak. Sub 1/2 cup red wine instead of the white, and sub beef broth for the water. I use fresh mushrooms and omit the flour, and add a little worstershire. otherwise I make as directed. Very good, I have made this several times.
Yummy, Yummy goodness!! Like with all slowcooker recipes you need to add alittle extra water. SO SO GOOD!!
problem was that it was sooo good that I cound not stop tasting it! Couldnt rate on the length of time b/c it was completely gone after 5 hours. Between my hubby and daughter along with my multiple "just a quick taste" tests.....there was none left by 5:30. I would double at least the meat and add another tbsp of the worcestershire sauce. I used two beef bullion cubes and 4oz of cream cheese with only 4 oz sour cream....and i cat imagine it being any creamier. A touch of gravy masters makes the color a little more appealing. Yum! '
This is a make again and again recipe. The meat is tender and the flavor is excellent. My family requested that I make it again very soon.
Beef, condensed golden mushroom soup, chopped onion, and Worcestershire sauce simmer in a slow cooker for easy beef stroganoff.
